Pepper chicken - Meals with chicken


Pepper chicken


This is a very easy, tasty recipe. I say it is easy, because it just takes one pan, 3 spices and 10 minutes to cook.
This is an anytime chicken meal recipe...Enjoy with roti or hot steamed rice.

Ingredients:
Chicken - 500 grams
1 tbsp - Fresh coarsely ground pepper,
1 tbsp - ginger garlic paste.
1 tsp - Garam masala powder ,
1 tsp -Jeera(cumin) powdered.

Easy chicken meal recipe:


In a pressure cooker or pan with lid, add the chicken (diced, bite sizable) and add extra virgin olive oil or sesame seed oil.
Marinate chicken with ginger garlic paste for 15 min. 
Saute the chicken for 2-3 minutes on medium high or until it change color.
Add all the masalas, pepper, jeera, Garam masala and salt.
Add half a cup of water. 
Cover the cooker or the pan with a lid
cook for 3 whistles in pressure cooker or 8-10 minutes, if using a pan.
Uncover the cooker or pan and cook for another 5 minutes or untill the chicken stock evaporates and the masala thickens. 
I want to add a note on pressure cooker details. 
I used Prestige(Brand) pressure cooker 3 liters. Added the whistle to the lid while covering the cooker itself. 
Pressure cooked the chicken on high for 5 min, which is 3 whistles on my stove top.  


With your pressure cooker, cook on high for 5 min.


Garnish with coriander.
Serve with roti or rice.
Isnt easy..very easy actually and tastes awesome.

  1. This recipe isn't very clear. Is that 1 Tbsp pepper, and 1 Tbsp garlic/ginger paste?

    1 tsp garam masala and 1 tsp jeera

  2. Yes, ginger garlic paste for 1 tbsp and pepper for 1 tbsp.
    Cumin seeds are jeera, added that to the recipe. powdered cumin seeds should amount to 1 tsp.
