Instant Rava dosa


Instant Rava dosa

This is a very famous dosa from south of India. Famous for it lacy and crisp texture. This dosa is instant and does not require fermentation, this make it as a favorite recipe for weekday dinner.

Ingredients:

Rava/Sooji/Semolina - 1 cup
All purpose flour - 1/4 cup
Rice Flour - 1/2 cup
2 tbsp - Yoghurt
salt for taste.
Ginger minced - 1 tsp
Green chili minced - 1 tsp.
Asafoetida - 1/2 tsp
oil for greasing. 


Recipe:

1. Mix all the ingredients by adding water little by little.
2. The batter consistency should be thin and runny. 
3. Let the batter stand for minimum 10 minutes.
4. Heat a skillet or dosa tava.



5. Make sure the tava is hot, Pour in 1 cup of batter to the middle of the tava. It forms a lacy dosa with holes. Don't try to smooth or shape the dosa.
6. The dosa takes longer time to cook when compared to normal rice dosa.
7. Cook 4 min initially on medium heat and flip the dosa. Then cook for 2 min for golden crisp color and texture.
